Notes
Chaldea was located in what is now modern-day Iraq. It is a bit difficult to distinguish from Babylon. In fact, for a time, Chaldea ruled over Babylon. The Chaldeans who came to rule over Babylon, were, in fact immigrants from the west; modern Syria and Jordan, rather than a native tribe that rose to power.
