Reiterates advice we find stated otherwise in scripture, and has some good advice for managers.
When people are given incomplete information, it generally carries more weight than information subsequently learned. However, when people are left to draw their own conclusions, (inferences are not provided with the information) it becomes even harder to shake those conclusions.

Perhaps the principle of not talking about past transgressions, extended to others, covers much of this.
