50) And it came to pass that Enoch continued his cry unto the Lord, saying: I ask thee, O Lord, in the name of thine Only Begotten, even Jesus Christ, that thou wilt have mercy upon Noah and his seed, that the earth might never more be covered by the floods.
51) And the Lord could not withhold; and he covenanted with Enoch, and sware unto him with an oath, that he would stay the floods; that he would call upon the children of Noah;
52) And he sent forth an unalterable decree, that a remnant of his seed should always be found among all nations, while the earth should stand;
60) And the Lord said unto Enoch: As I live, even so will I come in the last days, in the days of wickedness and vengeance, to fulfil the oath which I have made unto you concerning the children of Noah;
Noah is born. He preaches repentance, but the people do not repent.
28) And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:
29) And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed.
30) And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters:
31) And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died.
32) And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
8) But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
9) These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
10) And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
God's commandments to Noah in preparation for the flood
The location of Mount Ararat, in Turkey, next to the border with Armenia. This is, according to Genesis 8:4, the location where Noah's Ark came to a rest at the end of The Flood.
The flood ends. Noah offers sacrifices. The Lord promises not to curse the ground anymore nor to destroy everything again.
10:1) Then said the Most High, the Holy and Great One spake, and sent Uriel to the son of Lamech,
10:2) and said to him: 'Go to Noah and tell him in my name "Hide thyself!" and reveal to him the end that is approaching: that the whole earth will be destroyed, and a deluge is about to come upon the whole earth, and will destroy all that is on it.
10:3) And now instruct him that he may escape and his seed may be preserved for all the generations of the world.'
11) And Lamech was one hundred and eighty years old when he took Ashmua, the daughter of Elishaa the son of Enoch his uncle, and she conceived.
13) And the wife of Lamech conceived and bare him a son at that time, at the revolution of the year.
14) And Methuselah called his name Noah, saying, The earth was in his days at rest and free from corruption, and Lamech his father called his name Menachem, saying, this one shall comfort us in our works and miserable toil in the earth, which God had cursed.
15) And the child grew up and was weaned, and he went in the ways of his father Methuselah, perfect and upright with God.
21) And Noah found grace in the sight of the Lord, and the Lord chose him and his children to raise up seed from them upon the face of the whole earth.
Noah sees a vision (60-64) and goes to Enoch to hear enquire about its meaning (65-71). Noah learns, among other things, about the flood and his mission.
