The Exodus

An ancient text, also known as Papyrus Leiden I 344 recto, that is dated to c.1991–1803 BC.
It is somewhat famous because the imagery it employs is strongly reminiscent of the plagues that preceded the Exodus. Whether it is describing the aftermath of that event is uncertain. However, Certainly some of the evident cultural parallels are fascinating all the same.
  • Grimm's Fairy Tales, "The Maiden without Hands"
Contains a brief allusion to the Exodus wherein the maiden, with the help of an angel, crosses a river on dry ground.
  • Grimm's Fairy Tales, "The Six Servants"
One of the servants of the hero sucks up part of the Red Sea to expose the floor so that the hero can obtain a ring. This servant later spits out what he had sucked up to drown the soldiers of the antagonist who were chasing the hero's party.

Enoch sees the Exodus in a dream represented symbolicly.
