Unity
Husband and wife should be united. ("one flesh")
Christ and the Father are one.
Saints should be one even as Christ and the Father.

The author shares a couple of experiences, one with disunity in a ward and one with unity. He shares that the differences which we allow to separate us from our neighbor are not generally important ones. We might similarly understand that these differences that ought not to divide us make the stock of the diversity which can be so healthy for us.
