The ordinance of washing feet provides blessings.
It is not necessary to put the Church on a permanent foundation, but it is nonetheless necessary.
The prophet notes that it is time for the ordinance to be performed and that a place apart from the world must be prepared for its performance.
The ordinance is calculated to build unity
