An interesting description of how the Lectures on Faith came to be removed from the Doctrine and Covenants.

It appears to have been removed by committee in 1921, largely over a concern that lecture 5 appears to conflict with section 130.

Notably an older section 101 was removed in 1876 (Connor seems to mistakenly say 1835) at the same time that section 132 and 130 were added.
