The Ark of the Covenant

- Although the Hebrew words translated as "ark" in "Noah's Ark" and "Ark of the Covenant", are not the same word, they both mean "chest", and apart from being translated into the same word in English, the Septuagint also uses the same word. The ark is considered the thone of God, and, notably, boats are frequent locations of the thrones of deities in Egyptian depictions. An example of this can be seen in Figure 3 of Facsimile Two of the Book of Abraham.
